What Kept does
Today
One screen for the day: habits to check in, tasks due, today's events and running timers.
Habits
Daily or “twice a week” habits, streaks that don't punish rest days, reminders with a Done ✓ button, and a history of what you finished.
Timers
Countdown timers and a stopwatch with laps. Alarms ring on time, even with the screen off.
Tasks & calendar
To-dos with due dates and priorities, and a month view that shows what is on each day.
Widgets
A habit ring you can check off from the home screen, and a list widget for today's habits, tasks or events.
Optional Google
Connect Google Calendar and Google Tasks if you want them in the same place, and keep an automatic backup in your own Google Drive. Off by default.
How Kept uses Google data
Kept works fully without Google. If you choose to connect your Google account, Kept asks for permission to:
- See your calendars and events — to show the calendars you pick inside Kept's calendar and Today screen;
- Add and remove events — only for events you create in Kept and choose to add to Google Calendar;
- See and update your Google Tasks — to show your task lists and keep tasks you add, complete or delete in Kept in step with Google;
- Store its own backup file in your Google Drive — a hidden, app-only folder; Kept cannot see any of your other Drive files.
Your phone talks directly to Google. syNK Studio has no server and never receives your data or your sign-in. Details are in the privacy policy.
